Experienced nursing leader joins Eastern Jackson County’s healthcare leader with a focus on quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
INDEPENDENCE, MO. — (February 9, 2026) — Centerpoint Medical Center — part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider — has named Robyn Miller, RN, NE-BC, BCEN, TCRN, chief nursing officer (CNO).
Miller brings more than two decades of healthcare experience and 13 years with HCA Midwest Health, most recently serving as chief nursing officer at Belton Regional Medical Center. During her tenure at Belton Regional, she played a key role in improving patient experience and quality metrics while helping reduce nursing turnover through focused leadership and team engagement. Previously, she served as assistant chief nursing officer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where she helped lead nursing teams through the challenges of the pandemic. Earlier in her career, Miller spent 3 years at Centerpoint Medical Center in several leadership roles, including director of emergency services and nursing operations, interim assistant chief nursing officer and interim telemetry director. She also served as the emergency department director at Research Medical Center for 5 years and held additional nursing leadership roles at other Kansas City-area health systems.

Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Truman State University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Avila University, and a master’s degree in nursing leadership from Western Governors University. She is board-certified as a nurse executive and holds specialty certifications in emergency and trauma nursing. She has also been recognized by HCA Healthcare for leadership and performance excellence and received an external nursing leadership award from the Kansas City Emergency Nurses Association.
