HCA MIDWEST HEALTH CARENOW® CENTERS EARN REACCREDITATION FROM THE URGENT CARE ASSOCIATION

The area's largest healthcare provider’s 15 state-of-the-art urgent care clinics throughout the Kansas City area are reaccredited for the highest level of distinction in patient care, which less than 20% of urgent cares nationwide receive from UCA.
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. – (April 2, 2025) – HCA Midwest Health announced today that its 15 CareNow® urgent care clinics across Kansas City have been reaccredited by the Urgent Care Association (UCA), recognizing a commitment to delivering the highest quality of care and service to patients. CareNow's clinics provide walk-in, extended-hour medical attention from licensed providers for a wide range of medical conditions and meet all of the Urgent Care Association's established standards and criteria for quality patient care, safety, and scope of services.
CareNow is among the less than 20% of urgent care centers in the country that receive UCA accreditation. This reaccreditation reflects CareNow's deep dedication to patients in the communities it serves.
Urgent care is a convenient and affordable option for medical conditions that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment with a primary care physician.
CareNow accept unscheduled walk-in patients during all hours of operation.
When a medical condition cannot be managed by a patient's regular doctor – such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains, or fractures that do not require a visit to the emergency room, CareNow's urgent care clinics are equipped with X-ray, laboratory services and licensed providers available to perform minor procedures like suturing.
Urgent care fills the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms, offering increased convenience and accessibility for the whole family.
"Receiving this accreditation reflects CareNow's commitment to providing the highest quality of compassionate care and service to our patients," said CareNow Urgent Care Medical Director Mary Devers, MD. "Our 15 urgent care locations serve as essential healthcare resources, offering immediate attention for non-emergent medical issues and complementing the services of primary care physicians and hospital emergency rooms, ensuring patients receive the timely and convenient care they require. Whether addressing a minor injury or sudden illness, we are dedicated to delivering accessible, patient-centered care that supports both individuals and the broader healthcare system.”
