Young Professionals Service in the City

We hope you can join us for our first Community Service Event we will be doing as Young Independence Professionals. We will be serving food to the homeless on November 15th at Stone Church. 

Details:
*Arrive at 5:30 pm 
*Enter in to the North Doors, Lower Level 
*We need 18-20 people if at all possible
*The majority of volunteers will be acting as waiters and waitresses, taking the plates of food to our guests.
*Walk around and talk with guests because one of the forms of poverty that we address is that of isolation and loneliness. For some of our guests, we are the only people that they see all week.  This is particularly true of our elderly friends.  
 *We will also be wiping down the tablecloths, fold and store them and then place the chairs on the tables.        
 



Young Independence Professionals isn't just about meeting new people through networking events. At our core, is a solid mission that strives to serve and enhance our community. This core endeavors to not just provide content or activities, but to truly make a positive connection within the members of the organization. This connection will help our members grow roots in Independence and help those roots mature into a real desire to want to make an impact in this great area we call home.
