Author Lou Eisenbrandt joined the U.S. Army in 1969 to see the world. As an Army nurse stationed at an evacuation hospital in Vietnam, she cared for GIs, South Vietnamese soldiers and civilians, even Viet Cong. Eisenbrandt shares her Vietnam experiences from malaria and hepatitis to massive head traumas and deadly bullet wounds.
