The people of the Ozarks have long been portrayed as moonshining hillbillies, rugged pioneers, and everything in between. Dr. Brooks Blevins, Noel Boyd professor of Ozarks Studies at Missouri State University and author of "Ghosts of the Ozarks: Murder and Memory in the Upland South," will discuss the history behind the stereotyping the Ozark region and its people.
