The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA)was passed by the U.S. Congress in 2021, and the Beneficial Ownership Information(BOI) regulation aims to create a comprehensive beneficial ownership registry for U.S. legal entities. FinCEN has recently finalized regulations, providing clarity on who needs to file, what information is required, and when the filing must occur.
